321 days of travel by land and sea, without flying
"The world is a book and those who do not travel only know one page"

THE GREAT JOURNEY OF LIFE
Between 2012 and 2013 we flew around the world in 321 days. The idea came right after we decided to get married, talking about our honeymoon. At first we thought it was an unrealistic folly, then we realized that we couldn't help but think about the great trip we had in mind and so we sat down and started talking concretely about the idea that had tormented us for months. It was the travel virus that took over us, and we let it! The journey lasted 321 days and we chose to do it by land to savor every little movement between one place and another, to not miss anything of what there was between point A and point B, to rediscover the slowness that is often missing in everyday life... to free ourselves from the frenzy to which, nowadays, we are all slaves. When we left we had known each other for a little over two years and had never lived together, so it was all a discovery for us. It was our honeymoon, the first year of marriage, all on the road. It undoubtedly brought us together a lot and made us deeply understand many aspects of each other. We based our relationship on total mutual trust and this thing helps us a lot even now that we are back. It was a year of our lives, not just a vacation. The desire to challenge ourselves and confront the realities outside our home, abandoning comforts and conveniences to see how people really live and discover if we would be capable of it, this pushed us to take a journey along the globe.
